if someone gave you a MILLION dollars to FIX africa? what would you do?

if someone gave you $1000000 dollars to fix africa...what would you do exactly with the money?

would you put it into their schools or their armies?

would you give it to the africans themselves or would you give it to the UN to dispense out?

would you use it to buy them food right now or buy them seeds to plant food?

just how are we gonna fix africa?! i am sick of seeing starving kids on TV! somthing needs to be done!!

what would that be, like less than 3 cents per african?

i'd buy a nice house, maybe in oregon. and still have some left over to live off of. and i'd send a letter to every leader of every african country, and it would say:

yo! your ****'s **** up! fix it!

that would probably do more to fix africa than 70% of other tries have done.

a million dollars wouldn't even begin to scratch the surface of what's wrong with Africa. The commercials on tv are made to make you feel uncomfortable & want to do something. You can give your money to some organization & keep your fingers crossed & hope the money gets to someone who needs it. Or you can go there, yourself & see your effort produce something. You can study the problem. Find out where the problems truly lie. Try to fight them there, at the source. Maybe the problems are more deep seated & complex than you're expecting.

the help being despatched is the only element preserving countries from all out civil conflict. that is a large waste of money, surprisingly by way of fact the money isn't being spent in the way it became into meant, even though that's the two help or mass genocide. There might desire to be worse techniques the government might desire to apply taxpayer money, that is for particular. Edit: HodgPodg i assume i'm in simple terms no longer ruthless sufficient to enable northern Africa kill themselves. that's the UN desires to get off their palms and start up managing the problem. i do no longer agree that the money is spent, yet something of the international might desire to care much less approximately Africa, so somebody has to assist out. most of the money despatched is from charities by way of fact individuals by skill of a few distance are the main generous human beings in the international. The bailout blindly exceeded out by skill of the government is a some distance bigger problem. The banks have been given their money and that they nonetheless are not lending.

You would have to start by buying the valuable land that was taken from the African ppl, see you must understand the real valuable land is being exploited by European interlopers you would have to strategically invest in certain resource lands this is the only way to begin

i would probably use it to give loans to small bussiness through kiva.org, an organisation that gives small loans to poor people all across the world with the help of everyday people like you and me.

that amount of money cannot really fix anything. it is not enough to actually do anything meaningful with it.

i completely agree, and the best thing to do is give money for schools because its time we stopped aiding them and starting giving them the ability to care for themselves. They need Knowledge and good structured governments. Look for organizations where you can visit africa, it will change your life forever, and you will never want to stop helping.

A million dollars is nothing though, but it's something for Africa.

I'd probably invest it in a school.

Education is necessary and can fix so many problems (education on safe sex/stds, education on agriculture and skills, etc etc)

a million dollars is not enough to change africa because each african country have more than a million dollars

I would form a new nation for all the refuges and try to unite them.
