Circuit City . . . will they be opening stores again . . . . ?

We know they went under last year. I liked Circuit City. It seems we now only have Best Buy, which sucks. So do you know if CC will be opening actual stores again, or remain only in specialized locations and online?

Circuit City not only "went under", but the name was bought buy a third-rate online retailer. So what you are thinking of as Circuit City no longer exists, and will never exist.

You really do NOT want "Circuit City" to open any actual brick and mortar stores again. It's not the same company. If there was a B/M Circuit City store right now, you'd probably walk in, take a quick look around, conclude that you were wasting your time, leave...and never come back.

Like you, I used to buy a lot of stuff at Circuit City. The only thing I didn't like about Circuit City was the extended warranty policy. I believe it was referred to as "Three No's". Basically, it boiled down to, any purchase you made at CC, the salesman had to try to sell you a ripoff service plan, and couldn't STOP annoying the f*ck out of you until you said "NO!!!" at least three times. But it was worth the hassle because Circuit City usually had the best price on (whatever) I wanted to buy. And unlike Best Buy, Circuit City usually had what I wanted to buy IN STOCK. The Reason I'd buy from CC so often is, Best Buy never had anything in stock, ever.

But yeah, it does suck that the only place left to buy ummmm, toys (ha ha) is Best Buy. If you want a new TV or Computer or DVD player or whatever...you pretty much have to buy online....and NOT from Circuit City online!!! (that's not Circuit City)

Again, Circuit City does not exist anymore, and never will.

Our only hope is that some new company starts up that carries good stuff to compete with Best Buy. If they're using the name "Circuit City" though, that will not be better than Best Buy, unfortunately.

I seriously doubt it.. Generally when a company goes under, they cut their losses and move on to something else.
