I use them all the time and they never fall off and are pretty thin so your kicks are still felt. They do offer some level of protection for your shins too. I have the red ones that cost $39.95. Submissions are still possible in these but triangle chokes are a little difficult with all the extra padding on your shins. These are great for MMA type sparring where you start standing and may end up on the ground.
