Resume for changing fields?
I'm a fashion model who has held the position for four years, but now I'm trying to transition into a mainstream position. How should I work my resume to make me seem appealing for an event planning job?
I've had waitressing jobs, part-time retail, etc. but those were college jobs.

The potential new Boss is going to want to see that you're more than just a pretty face (although, admittedly, that can be a big plus when you are applying for almost any position).
Try to play up your strengths from both the modelling and those part-time jobs. Think about the skills that you learnt in them. I'm talking about skills like good timekeeping, perfect attendance, ability to relate to people and to provide them with the results that they are looking for. You've no doubt been working in a professional environment and are used to working to deadlines - so push that angle too. If you can use a computer and write a decent looking letter with Microsoft Office then mention that.
You should look at getting some training now too - even if it is short night courses at the moment for skills like using computers or things that you need to know for your industry. It shows that you are serious about wanting to get into the industry and looks good on the resume and sounds good in the covering letter.
If you've chosen the right position to apply for it won't matter that you have gaps in your experience or knowledge. They'll be looking for an entry level person and will expect the person they want to have gaps and some inexperience. You could perhaps push the angle that while modelling you have been able to consider and decided upon the career you want to pursue and that your decision to apply for this position is not just a spur-of-the-moment decision. Show them that you are bright, sensible, keen and willing to learn by putting the effort in.

Since you are a model now, use your connections to try and get work, even unpaid, with one of the fashion show producers you've met in the past. They don't just do fashion shows, most of them do events throughout the year. Then work on a project with them and ask if you can list them as a reference on your resume. Also check with your agency - do they have an events department? The big agencies like Ford, Elite, etc have events/marketing deparments because they do global model searches, sponsor fashion events, etc. Try working for them, even as an unpaid intern, to build up your resume

If I have been you i could bypass to college for LPN or CMA. you have greater incomes means with those 2 than with CNA. CNA's oftentimes artwork in nursing residences assisting in basic terms with affected person care, feeding and cleansing. CMA's can artwork with the aid of the scientific field, i.e: clinics, hospitals, nursing residences, etc. CMA's can do lab artwork, scientific transcription, affected person care, etc. LPN's, of path, have greater guidance than CMA's and would artwork an identical aspects yet would have the means to artwork hospitals and do greater huge affected person care. do somewhat prognosis on the information superhighway and you will see that the pay scale is a lot diverse from CNA to CMA and LPN. aspects are available to pupils and the college you % can assist you fill out each and all the required paperwork. I enjoyed being a CMA!! good luck!
