NRL: Mighty Mouse is back!?

How good was it to see Shannon Gallant back in first grade? This guy is the genuine article, a fullback in the purest terms. Watch the replay of the Titans match and he's always hovering near the ball carrier, providing support and another option in attack. He also linked up really well, playing like a second five eighth in attack as most coaches want from their fullbacks. Can't wait for the Cowboys v Tigers match this weekend. It'll be the match of the round.

BQ: Blake Ayshford is out for four weeks and the Tigers really need to contain Willie Tonga, the man has been in scintillating form. Who would you play at centre to keep a lid on this bloke?

Yeahn it pssed me off actually to know we let him go, Still not sure why since our Number 1 jersey has been iffy since Hodgo left.

Yeah peeved about Blake too he is so reliable as a centre. Sorry Nerd but I personally would like to see Geoff Daniela in at centre and Mitch on wing . I should give Fitzy a go on wing but Im not sure that we should have brought him back from England when we have so many wingers/centres to choose from (although Liam has been one of our best - Im happy if Fitzy proves me wrong)

Tonga plays hot and cold - sometimes he is great other times you dont see him. I guess we will need to keep an eye out but also get the rush defence going get up in their faces and try and nullify Thurston without putting 2 players on him in defence.

I love watching Gallant it just cuts me he isnt in a Tigers jersey (and why the hell did Henry waste 3 weeks on Williams???)

@ Punchy I wish Taniela Tuiaki was back we would kill it!!! His ankle is dodgy and his time off is indefinite.

    major bummer

It certainly was a good performance, Gallant provided much of what we've been missing with the absence of Matt Bowen.

You'd have trouble trying to keep Tonga in a box, no matter who plays on him. He's been irrepressible since his injury woes were sorted out.

I rekon. Gallant was a big loss for us, this would have been such a good combo...

    1. Gallant

    6. Marshall

    7. Moltzen

    9. Farah

Yeah spewing Ayshford is out, he was in good form. I'd replace him with Daniel Fitzhenery

Yeah he had a great game. How fast is he? He has some pace.

Isn't Tuiaki back and if so id move Lote in the centres

yeh he was amazing last week, his speed off the mark is first class, he can ball play and has footwork and acceleration to beat the first defender and break the line seemingly at will, yeh tough one who to put up against tonga, you need someone big to deal with him physically, but you also need someone quick to keep up with his speed, maybe flanagan or fitzhenry

Isn't Ian McLauchlan a wee bit old to be making a comeback. Mighty Mouse, the pillar ofm the Scots scrum?
