Can a Computer Get a Virus While in Sleep Mode?

If you computer is in sleep mode and it is hooked up to the internet, can it get any type of virus. Thanks!

    If some service succeeds in waking your system then you are again in danger.

    Check the Wake-On-Lan settings of your system.

    Mostly you can access and change them through your bios.

    Sometimes you need to set a jumper on the motherboard.

    When you put your computer in Sleep Mode, it literally pauses all processes.

    This means that no programs or services are actually running, therefore it is certain that you won't get a virus while in sleep mode.
