Did you know, you can become free of the negative effects of blind faith?

1. For those who believe that the Bible is the word of God and that Jesus is the son of God and that all people must believe that he is their personal lord and savior in order to achieve salvation,

(The Bible was written by people and has much falsehood. Jesus was no more or less than a human being. He has never had any privileged status in the eyes of God. It is not necessary for people to believe in him for salvation.)

2. For those who believe that Mohamed was the messenger of God and that the Qur’an is the infallible word of God,

(Mohamed was a false prophet who convinced many foolish people to believe he was the messenger of God, often through violence. )

3. For those who believe that Jews are Gods chosen people and that the Torah is the infallible word of God,

(The Qur’an was written by people and is mostly a fabrication with the occasional historical fact.)

I ask you all: Why do you believe this? There is no evidence at all that this is the case. This is simply something false that you were told to believe at a time when you didn’t know any better. These beliefs are subtly harmful to you though you do not realize it. You take these to be true despite the lack of evidence, and you ignore the evidence to the contrary that should be evident to you from daily life. If you were to use your eyes and ears to pay attention to reality, you will see that the universe does not work this way. There is no book in the world that is the word of God. God has no chosen people and never did.

If you realize this, you can become free of the negative effects of blind faith.

Interesting that you stated your object to all three believes giving nothing but your own opinion. Since that seems to be a good enough reason for you to reject those things, should not my opinion that the Bible is true be an equally good reason to believe it?

If I had "blind faith" (such as your for which you gave no support), I would probably want to be free of it.

However my faith in the Bible is based on over 50 years of research, study, experimentation, and experience. Apparently this is enough evidence for the existence of God that 70% of the human race believes in him. Perhaps you might want to reconsider your believes.

Difficult To Know If You Are male Or female Friend As You Are blessed With In-sufficient Courage To Write A profile !! But I Assume You Are Human Due To the fact that You are Following The Paths Of the Men (Scripture Writers) By Pronouncing With Conviction That Everyone Else, But You, Is Wrong !!.. And Like Them, You Have No Proof, to support Your Far Reaching Pronouncements !! Remember Evidence In The times To Which You Refer.. Was Past Down The Generations By Word Of Mouth... Such Legends Were Then Commited To Parchment By The Few Scribes of the Era.. It Should be Obvious That Human Errors Could Have Occured !. But That Doesn't Totally Disprove The Whole Text.... Me Thinks That Thou Should Sit Quietly And Work On Systems Which Could Improve The World !.. Rather Than Just Being Distructive & Dismissive Of Things Beyond Your Ken !!... Why Not Re-Write Your Text After You Have Spent 20yrs Studying Theology & Philosophy & gained The Appropriate Qualifications.. Eh ??

BTW Your 14th Line Of Text Has Made You 300+Million Enemies.. Perhaps You Have Worked Out Your Defence??

Here's the flaw in your logic, as it applies to me: "This is simply something false that you were told to believe at a time when you didn’t know any better."

That isn't why I am a Christian now. I dropped my faith and went searching. I came back to the Church because, based on the sum of my life experiences so far, Christianity -- specifically Roman Catholicism -- makes the most sense to me.

that is not how being indoctrinated works.

when i was a Christan i still would believe after reading that. i am agnostic now so, I have pulled away, and pulling away is because of life, and experiences in it, not facts. the only way a Christan can stop being religious is through their own mind.

I agree with you but people of faith just believe. u can't make someone stop believing because they don't know how to question anything.

i don't mind religious people as long as they don't impose their belief on me and as long as they're not antagonistic towards other faiths. but don't raise that kind of questions in front of people who don't share your point of view because you'll just make them angry and the conversation will go nowhere.

"Jesus was no more or less than a human being."

Since there is no reliable proof that Jesus even existed, a fortiori there can be no evidence that He was an ordinary human being.

I don't think you are quite ready for atheism yet. Being an atheist is not as easy as being a believer.

What are these negative effects? My life's drastically improved thanks to my faith and if you knew me you'd be able to see that. Sorry I don't think like you, but I'm not the one that needs to be set free.

Yes. The experience of God has that effect.
