Transcribe Old German print into something I can read?

The following image contains the music and words to a song that may be connected to another song I am researching called "My Pigeon House."

Can someone please transcribe this for me? German is OK and I"ll paste it into another question asking for a translation.

If you want to translate it into English for me also, I want a very literal translation even if it doesn't make much sense.

Thanks, Molly

Here are the lyrics in electronic form and normal alphabet : http://www.volksliederarchiv.de/text2531.html

"Nightingale, nightingale, how you sang so beautifully

    for all the little birds

Nightingale, nightingale, how your song penetrated

    into every heart

When you sang, the whole world cried :

    'now it must be spring'

Nightingale, nightingale, how your song penetrated

    into every heart."

"Nightingale, nightingale, how are you silent now

You sang such a short time

Why will you, why will you not you sing anymore

I feel so sad about that.

When you sang my heart was so full

    of pleasure and happiness

Why you will, why you will not sing anymore

I feel so sad about that."

"When May, when May, when delightful May

    flees with its flowers

feels it , feels it so strange to my heart

I do not know what happens to me

I wanted to sing too, I could not

    I cannot manage one song

feels it , feels it so strange to my heart

I do not know what happens to me."
