Can someone give me advice for this particular tattoo?
I'm getting this tattoo, and I've planned this for about a year, and even after a year I'm still positive that I want it, so please, no posts ranting about how bad tattoos are.
Little by little,
one travels far.
It's a quote from J.R.R. Tolkien, author of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.
My question here is, do I add Tolkien's name at the bottom as to not steal to quote? Or should I leave it as is? So..

or..

-Tolkien
Note that the "-Tolkien" will be shifted to the right a little, it wouldn't do it correctly in this question box.
I know it's a small difference but for something so permanent, I want it to be right.

i think you should do it without the author's name. just the quote because its something you believe in, and then when u talk to people about your tattoo is when the story behind it comes out and where you can give credit to the author. good quote by the way

I would vote no to the Tolkien. Many people have quotes without the authors name. And seeing as its an uncommon quote i doubt someone will call you out on " stealing " the quote. Tattoos in my opinion look better without the names

That is an excessively legit and well rationale to get a tattoo Your wrists do bleed and harm plenty considering the fact that the dermis is smooth however you'll purchase a tube of numbing cream from the chemist for approximately $20 and that works pleasant Its an handy to hide spot with a braclet or watch :)

If you have wanted this tattoo for about a year, you should probably get it. You arent going to stop wanting it.
I think it would look really good because it is a really insightful comment. Also, it doesn't sound like it would be taking up your whole body.

I love this! I don't think you need the author--it's not really something you are publishing. I think it will look better without the author.

Please forget about Tolkien!!... I guarantee he's not going to sue you for borrowing his quote!.
It'll look nice on you... I like that quote.
