no. they're not compatible. soul silver only works with the DS generation of games.

You should be able to. =) I've transferred over Pokemon from Diamond to SoulSilver. If you have a DS or DS Lite then you just put SS in the DS slot and Sapphire in the NDS slot and trade over that way. They won't register in the Pokedex however until you get the National Pokedex from Prof Oak later on in the game.

well i dont know, i think sapphire is in with ruby and emerald and if so it's not possible because you cant trade between game types. i don't know what soul silver is, i've never played any of these newer ones, sounds like that one may perhaps match up with pearl and diamond? dunno. But you cant trade between silver and emerald i don't believe :P

isnt there a pal park in hg/ss? if there is then yes, you put sapphire in the gba cartridge and migrate and do the pal park... but if not, just do the pal park thing on daimond/pearl/platinum and trade it over
