Does Feliway Comfort Zone work?
I am going to be moving back in with my parents for the summer, and I will be bringing my cat. She gets really stressed out when her environment is changed... especially b/c my parents have other cats. She is going to be contained in my room for the duration of the summer. I have looked at several "calming" products on Petsmart's website... some of which contain alcohol!! (& there's no way I'm gonna get my cat drunk!) The whole idea of using pheromones to calm cats seems pretty cool, but have any of u guys had ne luck with this product? Or can u find reviews of it? I don't wanna blow $20 on something that doesn't even work.

Feliway definitely works. The spray is good for the car, but the plugins are better for the house. It takes 24 hours to become effective though.
I use 3 plug ins/month for my 4 cats (in 1400 sq. feet), and when I forget to change them (each plugin is good for 600 sq.ft, 30 days), the turmoil begins as cats fight for dominance once again!!! lol
But seriously, I know it's expensive, but it definitely works. I get mine in bulk on Ebay (I usually end up paying about $11 each, buying about 12-20 at a time) -- look under "feliway lot", that's where the bulk sales are. Look for one that is buy it now, then you don't have to fuss with the auction and did you win and all that, you just pay for it and they mail it out!
Reminds me, I'm down to a months' worth, I need to buy some more :) !!
Good luck!

It will probably work very well for your circumstances. It's not a cure all for every situation, but can be extremely helpful in overcoming stress. You want the plug in - it's the most convenient to use, and will probably only need one for your room. I've used them to calm highly stressed foster cats, and with one of my own who likes to chase aggressively (I've often said he could be a Feliway poster cat!). It really does work, as it mimics that "happy smell" that cats produce when they are happy and rub their cheeks on the furniture and you to mark them with that "happy smell". I'd suggest it - while I can't personally guarantee that it will work, it most likely will help. And it's totally harmless, as it's not ingested and you won't smell it at all.
