How do I get our new Gerbil to warm up to us?
So I got a Gerbil today from a lady off of craigslist.
His name is Skittish for an obvious reason. She said that he does bite sometimes;
I try to pick him up but he is running all over the cage and acts too scared for me to even hold him.
This is my first time to ever have a Gerbil. Any advice from anyone would be very much appreciated. Thanks! :-)

You need to let him get used to the setting first. in 2 days, he should be fine. You can do some research at this site:

Well first of all gerbils are pac animals and they do much better in pairs. i would try getting another one and get alot of chew toys and feed it treats by hand.
