how many watts does my sound system use?
it's rated at 190 watts, but I generally keep the volume under half, so how many watts does that actually translate to?, in general terms I cant find that info, I'm sure efficiency interferes with a 1-1 ratio, so what are the ratio's at, say, 1/4,1/3, and 1/2?

It not only depends how loud you set ur volume to. The sound that you are playing through them also can make a big difference. for example: if I turn my amp to the max and I play a silent track through them, then they don't need power, because there is no sound (ok, maybe there is some noise).

Honestly, I don't know the answer to your question. Do keep in mind though, that the wattage is the amount of energy being converted by the amps (short for amplifiers) and sent to the speakers.
Most people are curious about the amperage their system is drawing, and whether it will overload the circuit in their home. In short, the answer is that no, it will most likely not. Chances are good that it's a 15 or 20 ampere breaker, and your system is probably drawing 4 or 5 amperes tops.
