Current statistics (from the US Army Special Warfare Training Center) say that 18X non prior service candidates are succeding at a rate of 27%...meaning that 27 out of 100 will make it through the training pipeline..

YOU must first make it through basic training, AIT, & jump school before you can concern yourself with either SF, or RANGER training. Sit down with an Army Recruiter after school some day.

You have about a 3.5% chance to go straight through, they want seasoned vets trying out for Special Forces, guys that have seen combat and been on multiple tours, they don't want a cherry right out of bootcamp, either get an option 40 (Rangers) contract when you sign up or get a option 4 (Airborne) and work your way up, even if you were to have the physical tools for SF training, which is something compared to an olympic athlete, you still need to get selected by veteran Special Forces themselves, thats why they are looking for guys with experience, check out this website for workouts to help you get ready
