Knotty pine cabinets -- if I use B-I-N do I still have to sand?
The B-I-N website says if I clean the cabinets with mineral spirits, then wash with 50/50 ammonia and water, then prime with B-I-N, and use an oil topcoat, I don't have to sand. Has anybody tried this? Did it work?

My Gal here says she used B I N and it has worked out fantastic, the cabinets she painted in her old house is still looking good,, She highly recommends that Primer, it's a shellac base, so use an oil base top coat.

I have used BIN products and painted over it with latex paint on kitchen cabinets..worked really well. Just get the proper BIN product you need.
