How quick will the US version of the Tata Nano be?
I've heard that the home market Tata Nano takes about twenty seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph. Which, of course, is obviously quite slow. However, the US version of the car is apparently going to have an extra 25HP under the hood. It'll also weigh a little more, due to additional safety equipment. Anybody care to hazard a guess as to what sort of 0 to 60 time it'll be capable of?
Alec, your answer is completely useless. Save your ranting and raving for some other forum, please.

If it added 25 HP, it will still have under 60 HP. I would be willing to bet that the 0-60 for the US spec is going to be near that of the Indian spec. I'd say 15-20 seconds is a conservative guess.

I don't know anything about the US version but the Nano is a disaster for the Indian environment. India's population explosion is a threat to the world. The govt of India should do something about the population or else we will all die of asphyxiation. Indian cows too are belching co2 into the atmosphere. India is a nightmare for all sane human beings. God save the world from Nanos and India from cows and pigs and rabid dogs that roam the streets causing mayhem. We don't need Nanos we need a clean, healthy environment where all Indians get atleast one square meal a day and loos to empty their bowels instead of doing it on the side of the road. God save India from greed and corruption and the selfish rich who are out for themselves unleashing that ugly monster the nano on a hapless brain dead Indian population.
Useless to whom ? People like you who are carried away by the hype and can't see what's in front of them.
