There are lots of things that are not covered in the constitution, like interstates, labor laws, and the FDA. But, these are all things that a civilized society needs to survive.

That is a false choice consisting of unrelated components. We can rationally recognize basic human and civil rights that have to be vigilantly guarded. The government provides the means by which to protect those rights through the courts, laws and the protection that the military provides, while, at the same time, it can be the worst violator of those rights. Applying the label of "God-given rights" is inappropriate for several reasons. Many people do not believe in any deity and others interpret God's wishes to suit their convenience. Our country's political and legal systems are not based on beliefs in God but rather on some of the theories from the Enlightenment that recognized ethics, morality and rationality as having bases other than religion. Our inherent human and civil rights can be determined and defended based on those rational theories.

No, they are not. And the things not covered in the Constitution are according to the 10th amendment the responsibility of the States.

Many things are not covered in the constitution, like police, education, and entitlements.
Zoning laws are not in the Constitution, but would you want a brothel opening up in your neighborhood because it wasn't?

You realize federal law grows out of the constitutionally assigned powers, right? I think you are out of your depth here.
