Why are "amazing science facts" in the Qu'ran always retroactively found, why doesn't it have predictive power?

It's easy to claim "oh that verse, yeah, that was about, um, Big Bang theory", after actual scientists have done all the leg work and come up with actual models which predict reality accurately (while your verse just says something vague about your god making the heavens bigger or something like it), but if it is so amazing, why can't we find some amazing verse to revolutionize science?

Do you think the secrets to cold fusion are in the Qu'ran?

Or do you think it more likely some well-meaning moron will say "yeah, that verse was about cold fusion" AFTER we have cracked it?

Because the Qur'an was written by people hundreds of years ago who knew very very little about science, and because there is no 'divine knowledge' in it. The author(s) got plenty of things wrong that even the Ancient Greeks already knew about, 800 years earlier.

the 2nd became the splendid answer! There at the instant are not any scientific data in any of the holy books different than the effortless ones which became usual to the guy at that ingredient or some that been shown ideal and that's using ability of twist of destiny! There at the instant are not any scientific data for God's existence the two!

This criticism is illogical. How would humans recognize any scientific fact in a holy book -- such as predictions of eruption of a super volcano found in Qur'an and Bible -- without humans discovering the science?

You grasp at desparate ideas, but the criticism makes no sense.

How about the prophecies that predict what is happening with industrial pollution -- that men will begin to disappear and hermaphrodites will become common? Are the prophecies not valid even though they are coming true because they did not say 1400 years ago, "and this will come about because of industrial pollution." How does that invalidate them when the science proves them coming true? Because the exact reason was not given? That is your logic and it makes no sense.

Sadly like all relilgions there are a lot of stigma and spin to make your argument look right. Any one with half a brain will know there is no absolute truth. If you want circular logic then they say there is Allah who created all things, all what he created was good, and can be the only creator yet they also say that like myself being gay that it is evil and against god or ungodly. Well then! If all is Allah and Allah is all, then what else apart from Allah can make me or be me? So yea stupid arguments by the ignorant to somehow *prove* their idea is right. No different to the Holy Roman Empire or Stalin's USSR.

AWWW!!!! i was not feeling like answering any question but that avatar of your is shoooo shweet and cweet!!!!

    anyways it goes like this.

those things are like that because quran is a book of signs not science. it has science but that is because it is about truth. and science is about truth and well they have to go parallel that is what would make quran truth.

and why we say that it is science in it, it is not exactly ike that. the thing is that what science prooves now quran tells 1430 years ago. like it told about 2 diffrent waters. and now we know that there are actually 2 diffrent types of water. and there are various diffrent things like that.

but the thing is quran is about telling us the way of life and how to live it properly and wht are the "best" things to do in situations. it does not teach science it teaches humanity and spirituality and way to live life. its subject is humanity. its purpose is to show us the correct path.

ok since your avatyar is so cute i'll add another thing.

if you want to find faults in quran you will have to do big struggles and then find some little ones. which we ramadanians will clearify cuz we are not trained and praticed in it. we can answer almost all of your qurstions. we have done it so much.

and if you keep finding faults and stuff. you will just end up fighitng and things. and that is not good.

but if you actually see our side of the coin you will understand what we mean. so if you actually look at those sites we give you, you will understand what we mean. but if you just want to hate us ..................... you will just hate us there will be no diffrence.

    anyways see you

    PIECES!!!!!!

Because Quran is not a Science book.

It is used for religious purposes only. However, since it is the Holy Book by God, it happens to contain scientific facts as well.

1000s of years back, no one would even know what "exactly" is Quran talking about (where a scientific theory is mentioned indirectly), however, later on, Scientists discovered things that matched with the facts in the Quran as well.

Quran is about man's relationship with God and how to lead a good life (like all holy books are). Its not a science book or a prediction book.

Quran has not been changed since from its beginning

    Check the authenticity of Quran

Quran is specifically book of science but book of signs and guidance to Humanity

i have been answered you there in R and S:

Don't behave like a childlike person

Qur'an is far superior to Science. what science telling us today Quran told us 1400 years before

The Quran is a book of guidance for those who believe in the unseen (as mentioned in the beginning of the second chapter)!

Scientific facts may exist in the Quran, but that is not the purpose of the book!

So why wasn't E=MC^2 explicitly mentioned in the Quran?... Well because the Quran is not a school textbook; like I said it is a book of guidance to mankind...

God orders man to seek knowledge, and if God wanted to send man a textbook of scientific facts, then God would have done so... But God put man on this Earth for a purpose, and the attainment of knowledge can aid in that purpose!

quran is the words of the god so it has no limits of power as well as the god

usually muslims discover the scientific miracles in quran after finding using human`s tools such telescopes ,etc

in my opinion this proves that muslims got the best book ever from the god but they weren`t good enough to understand its facts before non muslims` scientific explains

read about Scientific miracles in quran yourself

    Actually,

The Quran was claimed incorrect because it said the sun moved (Scientists actually claimed the Quran to be incorrect because of a specific verse that claimed the sun to move, and at the time it was thought that the sun is stationary).Only after a while was it found the sun actually does move, and the Quran was found correct.

    AND

The Quran was claimed incorrect because it said the embryo developed in stages (Again, they actually claimed the Quran to be incorrect because the Quran claimed the embryo to develop in stages, and at the time it was thought the embryo developed at the same time). Again, after a while it was found that the embryo does actually grow in stages and The Quran was again proven correct.
