  • Is this Haraam for me to do?

    Asalamu alaikum

I am software developer currently working for a Software Application Company, owned by a non-Muslim..

We have one Application, the Application is already written and everything, so I don't actually make anything. And the product/application itself is not Haraam.

What I do is, after a company buys this product, they have the option of changing a few things, I do those changes.

    This is my question:

If the salesperson sells to a Haraam company, is it Haraam for me to do work on the product which is being shipped to them?

  • Shia's: Did any of your 12 Imaams practice Mutah?

I am really not trying to offend anyone.

I would just like to know if any of your 12 Imaams practiced Mutah, since they are seen by most Shia as the greatest of mankind.

If anyone feels offended by this question I ask forgiveness for offending you, it is not my intention to offend.

  • Question for Shia's about the 12 Imaams?

    Asalamu alaikum

Again, as was all my questions directed towards Shia's the last few days, I only ask to learn about your beliefs, NOT mock them.

And I ask My other brothers and sisters who do not follow the Shia beliefs, to kanala, not to mock if you decide to give an answer to the question. Shukran Jazeelan.

I have heard, that Shia's ask the Imaams for stuff; e.g. forgiveness or help or something like that.

    Is this true?

Do Shia's ask the Imaams, whether it be all or only a few Imaams, for things?

When Shia's make dua, do Shia's ask the Imaam's for whatever they are asking in their dua's?

    Asalamu alaikum wa raghmatulahi wabarakatu

I have a two questions for those who are SHIA's, or those who were Shia's.

These questions are not to insult or degrade in any way. I only want to learn.

And if you do feel insulted in any way by my questions I apologize.

    1.

Do you believe that Ali(ra) is greater in rank than any Nabi/Prophet of Allah(swt)? Any Prophet, whether it be one of the 25 mentioned in the Quraan or any of the ones not mentioned in the Quraan?

    2.

Do you believe that the rank of Fatima(ra) is greater than or equal to the rank of Mariam(ra), The Mother of the Messiah, Nabi Eesa(as)?

  • A few Questions for Shias?

    Asalamu alaikum wa raghmatulahi wabarakatu

I am Muslim who follows the teachings of the four main Sunni mathabs to please Allah(swt).

I have a few questions for those who are SHIA's, or those who were Shia's.

These questions are not to insult or degrade in any way. I only want to learn.

There are a few things I've heard about Shia's and your beliefs and so on; some may be true, some may be misconceptions and some may be lies to divide the Ummah, I do not know, that is why I am asking. I would rather know about them from the Shia's about your beliefs than from others.

And again, I really do not ask these questions to insult in any way, these are only things I've heard and read. And if you do feel insulted in any way by my questions I apologize.

    QUESTIONS:

    1.

Do you believe Ali(ra) was a Nabi after Nabi Muhammad(saw)? and why?

Do you believe Ali(ra) was suppose to be the Nabi instead of Nabi Muhammad(saw) and Jibril went to the wrong person? and why?

Or Do you just believe that Ali(ra) was one of the greatest Sahabah of The Nabi Muhammad(saw) and The Nabi Muhammad(saw)'s cousin and the rightful First Caliph?

    2.

Do you believe that the Quraan is incomplete and that there is/are Surah(s) missing?

    and why?

    3.

Do you practice Mutah or believe that it is acceptable in Islam?

    4.

When making Namaz(Salaat), do you Sajdat on a stone or something like that?

    5.

Do you beat yourself? Why and when?

Again, I apologize if I insulted anyone.

  • Jumuah Mubarak to All?

    Bukhari Volume 2

    Book 13

    51:

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "When it is a Friday,

the angels stand at the gate of the mosque and keep on writing

the names of the persons coming to the mosque in succession

according to their arrivals. The example of the one who enters

the mosque in the earliest hour is that of one offering a

camel (in sacrifice). The one coming next is like one offering

a cow and then a ram and then a chicken and then an egg

respectively. When the Imam comes out (for Jumua prayer) they

(i.e. angels) fold their papers and listen to the Khutba."

  • Is Uzair(pbuh) a Prophet? Uzair(pbuh) is mentioned in the Quraan, Chapter: 9 (Al-Taubah), Verse: 30?

  • Using the word Kafir?

    Bukhari:

    8.125.1:

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "If a man says to

his brother, O Kafir (disbeliever)!' Then surely one of them

    is such (i.e., a Kifir). "

When a believer(believes ALLAH(swt) is the one and only GOD and The Nabi Muhammad(saw) is HIS(swt) messenger) calls someone a Kafir, then one of them is a Kafir. And if the one being called is a believer, then the 'Kafir' will fall on the caller.

    So be careful people.

May Allah(swt) protect us from sin.

  • For Muslims About Questions that go: Why is ... Haraam?

I have an idea, a simple idea that every Muslim can try.

If you know something is Haraam or you have heard that something is Haraam, and you must stay away from it,

And it angers or agitates you that this is Haraam

    OR

You really feel that that is too simple to be Haraam

    OR

it continuously goes through your mind that why is this Haraam, WHY

(I know most of you know the type of thing that I am speaking of)

    When this happens, ask yourself:

Why am I getting so worked up about something so simple?

How hard will it be for me to stay away from such a simple thing?

Am I that dependent on this thing that I cannot even stay away from it?

Why would I be so dependent on this simple worldly thing?

Will it harm me in any way to stay away from it?

So then why am I getting so worked up?

Is this the Shaytaan blinding me?

Is the Shaytaan making me believe a small thing like this will totally destroy/change my life just because I stay away from it?

All I am saying is ask yourself why am i so angry, before why is it Haraam.

    Thats all.

  • Why is Music Haraam? 1 answer?

To understand why Music is considered to be Haraam you must first understand what would make it Haraam,

To understand what makes Music Haraam you must first understand what the origin of worldly music is,

To understand the origin of worldly music you must understand why it started,

to understand why it started you must understand who started it,

to understand who started it you must understand his/her motivation to start it.

Let me help you with this:

    1. the motivation is to take revenge on Nabi Adam(as) through the corruption of his children(i.e. mankind)

    2. Who? The starter of Music: shaytaan/satan.

    3. Origin? After Kaabel(Kane) killed Aabel(Abel) he and his tribe was banished and was not allowed to interact with Nabi Adam(as) and his people(This was part of the Shariah/law in that time).

The shaytaan then came in the form of a man from the tribe of Nabi Adam(as). He brought with him simple Music, metal knocking together in a rhythm.

    4. Why? To put mankind in a mental and emotional state

(does Music not change your state of mentality and emotion?)

    To sway mankind from Allah(swt).

    5. Music is considered Haraam because it changes your mental and emotional state and allows for subtle suggestions to be implanted in your mind.

Many people and even some of my fellow Muslim brothers and Sisters will certainly say this is absurd and everything else and will consider it to convoluted to actually be true and real.

BUT THIS IS SHAYTAAN/SATAN THAT I AM SPEAKING OF.

    Think about it.

THE MOST DEVIANT THING, he strayed Nabi Adam(as) to pick from the forbidden tree, A NABI, A PROPHET.

You don't think he can so easily stray you to believe something is good that is actually bad.

    OPEN YOUR EYES.

  • An inspiring and touching Islamic poem about death?

An inspiring and touching Islamic poem

    =====================

It was early in the morning at four,

When death knocked upon a bedroom door,

Who is there? The sleeping one cried.

I'm Malkul Mawt, let me inside.

At once, the man began to shiver,

As one sweating in deadly fever,

He shouted to his sleeping wife,

Don't let him take away my life.

    Please go

    away, O Angel of Death!

Leave me alone; I'm not ready yet.

    My family on me depends,

Give me a chance, O please prepense!

The angel knocked again and again,

Friend! I'll take your life without a pain,

    This your soul, Allah requires,

I come not with my own desire.

Bewildered, the man began to cry,

O Angel I'm so afraid to die,

I'll give you gold and be your slave,

Don't send me to the unlit grave.

Let me in, O Friend! The Angel said,

Open the door; get up from your bed,

If you do not allow me in,

I will walk through it, like a Jinn.

The man held a gun in his right hand,

Ready to defy the Angel's stand.

I'll point my gun, towards your head,

You dare come in; I'll shoot you dead.

By now the Angel was in the room,

Saying, O Friend! Prepare for you doom.

    Foolish man, Angels never die,

Put down your gun and do not sigh.

Why are you afraid! Tell me O man,

To die according to Allah's plan?

Come smile at me, do not be grim,

Be Happy to return to Him.

O Angel! I bow my head in shame,

I had no time to take Allah's Name.

From morning till dusk, I made my wealth, Not even caring for my health.

    Allah's command I never obeyed,

Nor five times a day I ever prayed.

A Ramadan came and a Ramadan went,

But no time had I to repent.

The Hajj was already FARD on me,

But I would not part with my money.

    All charities I did ignore,

    Taking usury more and more.

Sometimes I sipped my favorite wine,

With flirting women I sat to dine.

O Angel! I appeal to you,

Spare my life for a year or two.

The Laws of Quran I will obey,

I'll begin SALAT this very day.

My Fast and Hajj, I will complete,

    And keep away from self-conceit.

    I will refrain from usury,

And give all my wealth to charity,

Wine and wenches I will detest,

    Allah's oneness I will attest.

We Angels do what Allah demands,

We cannot go against His commands.

    Death is ordained for everyone,

    Father, mother, daughter or son.

I'm afraid this moment is your last,

Now be reminded, of your past,

    I do understand your fears,

But it is now too late for tears.

You lived in this world, two score and more, Never did you, your people

    adore.

Your parents, you did not obey,

    Hungry beggars, you turned away.

    Your two ill-gotten, female offspring,

In nightclubs, for livelihood they sing.

    Instead of making more Muslims,

    You made your children non-Muslims.

    You ignored the Mua'dhin Adhaan,

Nor did you read the Holy Quran.

    Breaking promises all your life,

    Backbiting friends, and causing

    strife.

From hoarded goods, great profits you made, And your poor workers, you

    underpaid.

Horses and cards were your leisure,

    Moneymaking was your pleasure.

You ate vitamins and grew more fat,

With the very sick, you never sat.

A pint of blood you never gave,

Which could a little baby save?

O Human, you have done enough wrong,

You bought good properties for a

    song.

When the farmers appealed to you,

You did not have mercy, this true.

Paradise for you? I cannot tell,

Undoubtedly you will dwell in hell.

There is no time for you to repent,

I'll take your soul for which I am sent.

The ending however, is very sad,

    Eventually the man became mad

With a cry, he jumped out of bed,

And suddenly, he fell down dead.

O Reader! Take moral from here,

You never know, your end may be near

    Change

    your living and make amends

For heaven, on your deeds depends.
