i am 38 weeks and 4 days pregnant and for the past 3 days i have been having severe pains which begins from my?
waist and ends in my lower abdomen. the amazing thing is that the pains only come at night and by morning it dissapears. i feel so uncomfortable that i dont sleep well coupled with the heat that is unbearable. my next appointment comes up ain two days and i would love to wait till then cos i dont want to be seen as raising a false alarm.my legs, ankles and feet are so heavy that my shoes no longer fit. though this is my third i feel as if its my first because the last two were so easy. could these be braxton hicks or onset of true labour. your contributions will be highly appreciated

The thing is, never, EVER worry about making a false alarm. You have every right to know what's going on with your body. That's what the docs are there for...to take care of you, so if you ever feel something may not be right, you should go and not worry about THEM.
It could be the onset of true labor but the only way to know for sure is by getting checked.

Being a mother of two already, you should know that there is no such thing as playing it safe when it comes to things like this. I think I'm through with these questions after reading yours. If it were me, and I happen to be a 34 yr. old mother of two, I would definitely be talking to my doctor or his nurse, not trying to be a trooper and possibly putting my baby at risk. One piece of advice, then I'm back to helping high-schoolers with their homework. Please take care, because it's not only you that you may be hurting, and you know that. Good luck to you and your baby, dear.

shes right better to make a false call than to go into labor and not make it. The docs are there to help thats what they went to school for.
