is it practical to have suits and jackets altered after losing weight?
I've recently gone from 17 stone 4 (110 kg) down to 14 stone 5(91kg) over a year, and seem to have stabilized it OK. But I'm left with suits and jackets, originally made to measure, that are far too big. Shoulders are fine but everything else looks enormous. Is it practical to get them altered or would I be better off throwing them away and starting again?
How did I lose the weight? Cut out choice during the day. 1 piece of toast +mackerel pate for breakfast. Apple mid-morning. 200-230gm white fish microwaved+any (fat free) sauce for lunch. Apple mid-afternoon. Large tomato juice before dinner. Fizzy water with dinner (fills you up). No pastry, less fat/sugar/starch but otherwise normal dinner with 2 glasses of wine. Works for me. Not too unhealthy. Secret is high protein during the day to stave off hunger pangs. Good luck!

Yes! Definitely get them altered. If you really like the pieces, definitely spend the money to have them fixed, if you're so-so about them then go ahead and buy new stuff!!
