The impact of Cocaine & Marijuana?
Is it true that in USA, people caught with Cocaine will be send for rehabilitation or counselling, but those with Marijuana will be jailed?
I was told that it was because some coloured skin people normally smoke marijuana, but the children of Aristocrat normally take party drugs and cocaine, thus they are send to counselling rather than jail.
Please share fact, and no hate message please. I am not targeting at any race or religion, but want to know more about society.

People are not normally imprisoned simply for possession of cannabis.
Perhaps a more appropriate comparison would be between cocaine as powder, and 'crack' cocaine. The former is associated with use by the rich, the latter is mostly used by the poor, and is more prevalent among ethnic minorities. In many places, offences involving crack cocaine tend to attract substantially harsher sentences.
