Mobile internet - highest fair usage policy in UK?

I have a HTC Hero on 3 and my contract has "unlimited internet" as part of the package. Obviously this is subject to their fair use policy which is capped at 1gb. I try to use wi-fi as much as possible and almost never watch iplayer etc on my phone, but even then I often use up my full allowance! 1gb REALLY doesn't feel like "unlimited" access and IMO this should break trade discription laws. Do other operators have higher fair usage policies?

T Mobile has just increased it's 'fair usage' policy to 3gb for all android users which seems pretty good of them so we can download apps from the market place. They just put up their price of the Desire though. Glad I got mine early and paid less.

All Internet providers have a 'fair use policy' and I have also gone above my 'limit'. If you are happy with the quality of downloads you get from HTC Hero, then I would stay with them and see about increasing your limit to 2gb.

The 'fair user policy' is to encourage people to 'download' e.g music during off-peak periods in order to stop the internet from slowing down at 'peak-times'... so before you decide to 'up-grade' try downloading at off-peak times, you should find it better and your downloads should be a little quicker.

    Kindest regards from David
