My last name is Cross which is a shorter form of the Italian name Crossetti. Both roughly mean "ye who bears the Cross of the Lord"

My last name is more of an Indian Orgin. It simply means " The King"

It means pete diggers that have an aristocratic household. It is german even though I'm not from germany, it is honerzuguntenhosen (there should be some accents in there but I can't put them in) except about 80 years ago my family shortened it to honer. which is much easier to pronounce.
