Please help me with my migraines?

I get either a headache or a migraine every day. I haven't kept track of what has brought them on, because at this point I am so tired of it. I also have a pressure point on my neck a little behind my ear, whenever I put pressure on it or something jerks it, it triggers a migraine or just hurts a lot.

I get really tired and dizzy to when this happens

What does this mean???!?!? Thank you

I have the answers for you! Well, at least I can tell you what's helped me, and I hope it can help you too. There are a few things you can try that I will share. All have helped me TREMENDOUSLY. I know what it's like to live with a migraine day to dayyyyy. It's horrible! Ok, here you go:

    - Try using a supplement called butterbur. In products it's called Petadolex. Here is a link to the brand I use: http://www.amazon.com/Enzymatic-Therapy-Petadolex-...

It's a little pricey, but has a lot of value, so it's worth it. Now I'm at the point where I take one a day for maintenance, but when I first started taking the supplement I would take three a day, morning, afternoon, and night OR three all at once any day that I had a migraine. When you first feel the migraine coming on it helps to take three of these (as directed) plus an advil. But if you start taking petadolex regularly you'll have to take advil less and less because your overall health will start to increase and your migraines will be start to decrease. Advil is bad for your stomach lining, and in my opinion you should try to move away from using it or any pharmaceutical often because it can be harmful to your health in the long term.

    - Holistic chiropractic adjustments. I found that chiropractic adjustments REALLY helped with my migraines. Sometimes you can have something pinching a nerve or inflammation that can provoke migraines, and chiropractic adjustments can help with this by aligning your bones the way they should be and relieving pain. I would recommend looking for a HOLISTIC chiropractor though, because curing migraines requires a holistic approach.

    - Acupuncture - Similar to chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture and help to reduce inflammation, and it can help to relieve stress, which of course, causes migraines. It's also a holistic approach to health, so the acupuncturist can check your overall health and recommend life and diet changes that are sure to help with your migraines.

    - Learn what your "migraine triggers" are. Migraine triggers are what causes your migraine. It can be not sleeping enough, not eating for a long time, stress, caffeine, sugar, etc. Anytime you get a migraine think about what it was that caused the migraine. Then work on avoiding that trigger. Sometimes you won't get a migraine with one trigger, but two or more are a sure migraine.

    - Change your diet. Eating healthier definitely reduces migraines. Junky, salty, sweet foods, etc are often triggers, so avoid those as much as possible, and only have them in moderation.

    - Lastly, sounds like you need to relax! and get a nice massage on your neck to work the stress out of that pressure point!

Hope this helps! I'll end with saying that once you have a plan for getting rid of the migraines stick to it, and whatever changes you make that help to keep migraines away, stick to them. I've heard of people who eventually got rid of migraines for good, but that only comes with stable and consistent healthy behavior. Good luck!

Take ibuprofen or Advil when you have a headache, and it should go away in about 30 minutes. Or you can sleep it off.

If you are having severe migraines (vomiting, completely unable to function) I would recommend seeing a doctor so you can have a prescription medication like Maxalt given to you to completely stop migraines before they get too bad. You will know one is coming when the corners of your vision get dark or light, and it looks like people are 'taking pictures' at your peripherals, or you start to get tunnel vision.

You can get migraines from genetics, or having an overbite or other teeth and jaw problems. They go away with age or if you get braces.

Typically, pushing on the pressure areas doesn't help at all or only helps temporarily.

Hey all you know-it-alls, you don't know anything except what you were brainwashed into believing what hospitals say. Did you know that the colon is the cause of migraines, headaches and also vomiting? Clean your colon out by drinking prune juice or taking enemas regularly, oh, and also stop drinking coffee and green tea...got that? No?

If you want to try something else besides taking drugs you should check out

    www.thehealthfoodguru.com

They will be able to help you if you want to take something natural. You most likely have toxins in your body that want to come out and are manifested by your migraines and need to detox. If you use pain pills you will be adding toxins to your body and will just help temporarily.
