help making a yugioh deck please?

1. get to know your cards (see what you have and what you don't have)

2. see what combination you can make out of those cards

2b. buy/ trade...etc. cards that you need for the combination

3. create a deck theme out of the combination

4. search cards that support your combination

5. search cards that helps you achieve your combination faster

6. add in cards that prevent any weaknesses your combination/ deck might have

ex:

step 1. have a lot a spellcasters

step 2. lock down spells/ traps

(ex: sorcerer locks traps, towel of babel locks spells)

step 3. spellcaster's lockdown

step 4. have many lv 6+ spellcasters

step 5. cards that easily summons spellcasters

(ex: magician's circle, magical dimension)

step 6. (i really can't answer this one)

Well...my friend ran an Alien Deck that was pretty competitive. If you need help deciding what you should put in it, go on Yugioh Wikia.

Also, run Evil Dragon Anata. It's a really good card in Aliens. Run 3 Warriors, 2 Overlords, 3 Kids, 3 Mysterious Triangles, 3 Planet Pollution Virus, 2 Other World- The "A" Zone, 2 Hypno, 3 Ammonite, and 3 Cosmic Foretress Golgar.

Of course that's not a complete deck, but thats to start you off.

Maybe someone else can expand on this. If you build them right, Aliens are really good.
