QUICK MATH QUESTION PLEASE HELp AS SOON AS POSSIBLE?
The literature teacher says that the faster you are able to read, the less time you will need to read a book. Maria can read 200 words a minute, and she took 14 hours to read a book that she checked out from the library. Linda can read 160 words per minute. How long will she need her to read the same book?

difference between words in a minute
200- 160 = 40
difference multiplied by 60 to make it difference in hours
40 * 60 = 2400
difference in hours multiplied by 14 to see the total
14 * 2400 = 33600
divide by 160
= 210
divide by 60
= 3.5
14 + 3.5
=17.5 hours

If Maria reads 200 words per minute then there are 14 hrs * 60 min/hr * 200 words/min = 168,000 words in the book.
If Linda can read 160 words per minute then she will need 168,000 words/160 word per min = 1050 minutes to read the book which is 17 1/2 hours.

If Maria can read 200 words a minute she can read 12000 an hour and over 14 hours will read 168000 words
Linda can read 160 a minute which is 9600 an hour. In total she will need 168000/9600 hours to read the book, Linda will need 17.5 hours

5min=1,000 words
10min= 2,000 words
20min=4,000 words
40min= 8,000 words
50min= 10,000 words
1hr= 12,000 x 14 = 168000 words
5min = 800
10min= 1600
20min= 3,200
40min= 6,400
