I know from experience, it is the homosexuals who are in the Church, hate the Church, and want the teachings about homosexuality reversed.

the Church has made great strides in the way their run their seminary programs - For many years now, the Catholic Church has been doing the following ...

    1. Run psychological screening for young men before and during their priesthood formation.

    2. Study and examine their own sexuality as a part of their course in formation.

    3. All the bishops are now doing criminal background check on everyone (from priests to church janitors) before hiring them.

    4. Share any new report of abuse with law enforcement.

    5. Any priests who are accused are automatically removed from the post. (assuming guilty even before any investigation). starting in the late 70's there were more men asked to leave or take time off for a year to make sure this was right. in my own community i know 4 people who were asked to leave or "think about it", 3 i knew personally and 1 was my own cousin. they were all in around the same time as my present pastor. they also make teachers, parents and volunteer for the school go through training and finger printing to ensure that they are on the same page. the vatican also set up and made HUGE strides in removing priests. Have you noticed all the press goes to abusers from the past. while that's not an excuse.... i do wonder.... where were the adults that were around the children or even the cops? i'm sorry, if it was my child i would move heaven and earth to ensure they were taken care of and the person convicted. granted.... this is 2010 and not 1950.
