The time (t) required to empty a tank varies inversely as the rate (r) of pumping. A pump can empty a tank in 90 minutes at the rate of 1200 L/min. How long will the pump take to empty the tank at 3000 L/min?

    36 minutes.

    90 x 1200 = 108000. There are 108,000 Liters in the tank.

    108,000/3000= 36 minutes.

    225 Minutes.

    3000 divided by 1200 is 2.5.

    2.5 x 90 is 225.

    enable x be the gap from the element on the floor to the backside of the construction. enable h be the top of the flagpole. Then: tan 32° = (27 m) / x tan 40 3° = (27 m + h) / x From the 1st equation, x might nicely be deduced to be x = (27 m) / (tan 32°) = 40 3.2 m Plug in x into the 2nd equation and remedy for h.
