Only a rough estimate I'm afraid. Sounds like a perfectly sensible question to me.

Well first we have to multiply Newtons by the gravitational acceleration, which is 32 meters per second squared. Then multiply that by 17 to convert to stones.

The answer is surprisingly little. In fact, an ant can lift several times its own weight, so an ant would be able to supply such a small number of Newtons.

Source(s): No wait. Did you mean Fig Newtons? Then it's a totally different result.
