Can anybody provide an actual source for the claim that 9-10 feet tall skeletons were found in Greece?
Posted a few minutes ago:
"Just lately, there has been a big find of human bones that were from ages ago. They know for sure when they lived because of the size and because the history is in the Bible. They are giants that were about 9-10 feet tall. They died out with the flood. These bones were found in Greece."
Is this true, or just another bogus creationist claim?
The claim was posted in answer to this question:

That's an old lie, why, when they repeat old lies,do they always claim they are recent? They must think, given enough time, people will forget about them and believe the nonsense the second time around.
Here you go Stuff Of Dreams,I'll post your photo shopped pic so people can see it without having to paste it into their search bar.

Robert Wadlow, the tallest man is recorded history, had chronic skeletal problems that any structuralist could explain: The volume, and thus the weight of the body will increase on the order of the cube of the height while the cross sectional area of the bone, and thus the strength of the bone varies as the square. That means someone twice as tall as normal would be carrying Eight times the weight with bones that are only four times as strong. Clearly Wadlow exceeded the point where the bones could carry the weight and suffered mightily.
You simply cannot have creatures that are 9-10 feet tall that are in any way human which could survive into adulthood without medical intervention, and even then they would be, excuse the coarsity, crippled.

I do believe in "giants" -- the ones who are over 7 feet tall and play professional basketball.
However, comma, most (if not all) scientists who dabble in that subject agree that 8 feet is the maximum height that can be reached and still -- stand, walk, run, and perform and look like a human. (I will see if I can find my prior research on the whys and wherefores)
--- The tallest man in the world is over 9 feet tall, but he is (was) so uncoordinated and goofy that he would hardly be able to defend himself against the rascals of life.
Back to your questions about skeletons of giants -- if we found such, I would imagine they would have major defects.
Chapter 13 - "The Ancestors of God"
.......... God's ancestors were giants. I am sorry to drop this dime on you so abruptly. However, this was probably no surprise to the astute scientist of our evolution. Except for that one big asteroid that hit the Yucatan Peninsula about 65 million years ago, we earthly humans might have had to evolve big enough to survive among a few of those meat eating dinosaurs.
The average woman was about 7 feet tall and the average man was near 8 feet tall. If they were any taller than that, the law of diminishing returns would have been evident in their stature, physical dexterity, design of their bodies, and even their biology. Why?
Gravity and a different weight distribution would have actually slowed them down due to the need for thicker, stronger bones, much heavier vital organs, and a wider support base; bigger feet and more legs, so to say. Being taller or shorter is not arithmetic as it would appear; it is a matter of geometric proportioning.
Wayne, little brother, do you mean big enough to fight dinosaurs or big enough to defend oneself against dinosaurs? - signed, Sister Jenny
No, of course not. Being smaller instead of larger would be a better defense/survival mode by simply avoiding them; the cockroach syndrome.
Why bigger? At that stage of their evolution, humans needed to be big enough and strong enough to run faster, jump further, and later, strong enough to set huge traps and use the dinosaur as an alternative food supply. Also, they set death traps to eliminate the dinosaurs' competition for the available vegetation on the planet.
Have you guessed it? How did the scientists, bio-chemists, and engineers solve that overpopulation problem on Planet Big H?
Miniaturization solved the overpopulation problem. Humans were changed from giant size to Earth-like human size.
Yada yada yada

Some people are rather gullible. You'll find more information here http://www.snopes.com/photos/odd/giantman.asp - the Greek version of this hoax, dated 2010, is found a bit down the page.

In my opinion he never had a perfect marriage. His poor wife was always on the back burner while he was busy fixing other people's problem---badly.

Seems like it's an old Creationist claim that has been reiterated in a variety of forms, for example:

Obviously it bogus... or in it's correct palliance, a LIE.
The skeleton cannot grow to that height and remain upright let alone efficient...

Yea, they were in Gen. 6:6, but Noah and his posterity were also infested with the giant DNA, so it resurfaced in number when Moses sent the spys out and Golieth might have been a leftover from the nephilim, but the israleites were order to kill everything and the DNA of the giants was soon killed off.
