How much of the iPad can actually be used?

Ok so i was wondering how much iPad memory can be used on the 16,32, or 64? Because i have the iPod touch 8gb and i can only use 7gb. I was also wondering if you can use iPhone apps on the iPad??

The iPad, and this is not a troll, a simply another device for Apple to make money off of. It's the same thing with all companies, samsung, sony, they all want cash. I recently bought a new ipad air, and I like it. The 64 bit chip set means nothing because it needs at least 4 gb of ram for a 64 bit chip to actually work, but nonetheless, it's one of the fastest and most powerful mobile devices I've ever used. The large 9.7 inch retina display is a delight to watch and use, and I love it's aluminum body. Let me setup a list of pros on cons to help you choose between buying an ipad or not. Pros: Fantastic display Blazing fast A7 chip Compatible with 4g Great aluminum display Large screen real estate Great ecosystem Cons: Aluminum body means no expandable storage Overpriced by 50-100 dollars (compared to the note 2014 model) No 128 gb model No jailbreak for iOS 7 yet IOS 7 still includes bugs and glitches for iPads The final score is 6 to 5, so I would probably buy myself an IPad if I didn't already have one, knowing that so many people around have one. I hope this list helps!
