I lost Microsoft Word 2007!?

What happened is, a long time ago i accidentally deleted the Microsoft Word thing on the start menu. I looked for it everywhere but i guess it just got lost. I still have the program installed because I'm still able to use Microsoft Word. However, to oppen it is a very annoying process. I have to open an old document i made before this happened and open a new file. I've searched how to fix it countless times but I guess this is just an uncommon problem.

Try this to get a link onto the desktop:

    1. In Windows Explorer (aka My Computer), navigate to

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12 (for Office 2007)

    2. Right-click on Winword.exe and select Create Shortcut. A pop-up will ask you if you want to create it on the desktop. Click Yes.

    Hope that helps.

You say that you deleted it from under all programs on the left side of the start menu? I have an idea but I am not willing to try it on my computer to see if it will work so proceed with caution. Click on computer and open your hard drive. Open the Program Files (x86) or Program Files if you have a 32 bit syetem. Open the Microsoft Office folder. Open the Office12 folder. More towards the bottom you will see the Microsoft Word Icon (all the other Microsoft Icons are in there too. Excel, Powerpoint, etc) and it says WINWORD next to it. If you double click it I think, and I stress the word think, that you can open the program. But more importantly if you right click on it you can put the cursor on send to and click Desktop (create shortcut). If this works you will have a shortcut on the desktop. Again please proceed with caution. I have opened other programs like this but never Word. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

    Just create a shortcut to:

    "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\WINWORD.EXE"

If you have vista it should appear in your search when you search it when you press start and you could make a short cut on your desktop by right clicking it, If you don't have vista try looking in your C drive.

did you verify on your momentary folder? most of the time e mail attachments get stored to a momentary folder and named "OLK437b93db84b8079c2dd804a71936b5f" (no longer something like the unique record call). additionally, did you attempt to open it decrease back up from the e mail? attempt that, see if the finished document is what opens, then do a "shop as" to offer it the superb call and positioned it someplace you will discover it.
