Xbox 360 3 & 2 red light error fixing?

I have a 360 which had the 3 red lights (the Red Ring of Death), which I ended up fixing.

The 360 now turns on and will play games, but 15-30 minutes in it will quit and gives the flashing 2 red lights, which apparently means it's over heating. I have an external fan to cool it off, but it still happens.

I have read that after fixing the RRoD, you might have to overheat the GPU and not the CPU to stop it from doing that, but I wanted to double check with someone who may have had the same experience first. The error code is (0011).

Any help would be nice,

Thanks!

Ahh the ring of death how fun :) well 2 red lights means that your xbox is overheating woot woot. That could mean your fan broke. (you can easily buy another, cheap at any game store, walmart electronic section, or radio shack) or your xbox isnt in a breathable area.. stuffed up near lots of wires or is in a drawer. Or when you or microsoft fixed your xbox they accidently messed up some wirings and disconnected or cut your fan.. Well good luck. I hope I helped

  • Please whatever you do, don't take any of the repair advice you find on youtube and use it. Especially the penny or towel trick as these can fry your motherboard. The Red Ring is repairable! If you haven't gotten the total RROD again yet though make sure you're using your system in a well ventilated area, don't have it sitting in a drawer, cupboard, or shelf with not much space around the system. You should have it out in open air. If you find a repair person you may want to ask them to up to voltage on your fans a little too. This will make your system a little noisier but will help in cooling it down.
