I have a project due tuesday and I am using microsoft powerpoint 2007 but my school uses mac computers.?
I am using microsoft vista for business, and I would be making my powerpoint on microsoft powerpoint 2007. I have seen cases at my school where people's powerpoints don't work and I am afraid mine won't work. Should I download openoffice? or would that not solve my problems?

The best way is to convert you powerpoint into video and then it can play everywhere. This free tool http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/free-powerpoint-to-video... will help you, or this charged tool http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/ppt-to-video-overview.ht...

You don't have to do anything special at all. The file format for PowerPoint on Mac and PC is identical. You should not convert it to any other format. You should not install OpenOffice.
If the Mac at school doesn't have any presentation software (which is not very likely) you could always play it in a browser using Skydrive (free).
