Apple Airport Express vs. Alternative Router?
I have a MacBook Pro, and am looking to set up wireless internet in my house. I have a modem, so all I need is a router. I am looking at the Apple Airport Express router (trying to keep it in the Apple family). Does anyone have this? How well does it work? What is the range and signal strength like? I'm not looking to network with different computers, my MacBook Pro is the only computer in the house.
Is there a router on the market that performs better than the Airport Express? I like the fact that Airport Express has a USB port so I can charge my iPod...but that's a minor detail, one that I could live without. Any recommendations on a wireless router that costs around $100?

The new Mac Pros are "N" wireless capable, so any "N" router should work fine.

is $70 at Walmart. I have a neighbor three blocks away with an old dlink G, and no password. My mac pro has no trouble at all getting on his network. I localled his dlink and then sent him a letter to his networked HP Officejet telling him to lock it all down. Be sure to add some passwords to your setup or there will be people hopping on your network.

Extreme can handle more than 10 clients, and has a built-in ethernet router. It also has support for enterprise networks. The express has a shorter range, no router, and only supports 802.11 b/g/n protocols. On the plus side, the express has Airplay capabilities so you can hook it up to your stereo and wirelessly listen to music.
