A review for a Sony Ericsson says GPS costs money to view Englands maps. Does it cost to view Australias?

The review I'm referring to is the sony ericsson C903

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KecwFvgsxkg at 2:03

He says "it does come with some software, a 5 day trial, wayfind navigator, it is quite priced to keep it running though, 50 pounds for uk maps per year"

So does it cost to use australian maps? and also does it have a function that determines the place of destinations best/fastest route... thanks Daniel.

    1. Using GPS is absolutely free.

    2. This phone use Google Map which was an Online map.To view online map you WILL always need to go to internet (having data connection) to access the map.Your operator will then charge you for the data connection or internet connection. It will be the same that you will be charged to view any part of the world, including Australia,South pole Atlantic etc.

    3. The £50 cost a year is for SE Wayfinder Navigator software, after it last your free trial.SE Wayfinder Navigator is the software that guide you turn by turn on your trip, suggest you a route ,etc.Without this softw your GPS will only pointing your position on the map,NO suggestion route NO turn by turn guide.

The GPS on our Sony Ericsson phones are considered AGPS which connects to the Internet to use the GPS. So it can cost money to connect to the internet for the GPS to work. -Roan Sony Ericsson Answers Team
