Drop Bars: Leather or Foam grip tape? ( Fixed gear)?

I have Track drop handlebars and undecided on what fabric type of grip tape to use.

I do not ride in the rain.

I just ride,mash(race),and need comfort.

any suggestions on what fabric?

Handlebar tape always takes a beating. It will eventually wear out. But buying quality materials will generally pay off in longer life and more comfort. So the really cheap tapes aren't worth it.

Leather: fashion statement. Quality control issues and expensive. This is not the same level of quality and durability that you would expect of a Brooks saddle.

Fabric tape: was cheap (not sure now), durable, easy to install, no cushion whatsoever. Buy gloves.

Foam: Grab-on are the slip ons of choice. These aren't tape but a fully formed section of foam. Use hair spray to wet them down and slip on quickly. The hair spray dries and glues them in place. Foam cork-like tapes vary in quality considerably but can be nice.

Cork: Natural, eco-friendly as the trees aren't cut down and live long lives, just the right amount of cushioning. Often clean up with just a mild soap and water cleaning. Profile and Cinelli both make very nice tape that's durable and not too expensive.

Want more cushion? Buy a decent set of gloves. Really worth it rather than all the goop and cushion material hidden under tapes.

There could be a thank you to get that to artwork: wrap the tape around the froth as tightly as you are able to, yet then very possibly the tape will ultimately unroll or slip, then it's going to tear up and you will would desire to replace it. in case you choose to apply bar tapes, you need to apply gel tapes that are a sprint thicker than old kind cork tapes. Or there are some gel inserts attainable which you would be able to positioned below the place you choose cushion.
