I really don't understand why people call Iran and Ahmadinejad "war mongerers", what war has Iran started in the past 150 years?

If I recall correctly, Ahmadinejad hasn't started a war in his five year tenure, actually it was the U.S who wanted to attack and made Ahmadinejad seem like a threat to the American people in an effort to justify any attack against Iran....Don't let the media fool you.

Iran would never strike Israel.

1. The Presdient is not the commander in chief of the military, the Supreme Leader is and he repeatedly said Iran would never go on the offensive against Israel.

2. Iran knows Israel has second-strike capability.

3. Iranian regime is not crazy, they care more about their own power and won't throw it away over Israel.

4. Israel contains sites holy to muslims, Iran would not dare risk damaging them.

5. Iran does not want to destroy Israel just see the country returned to Palestinians, a nuclear wasteland would not a suitable state make.

Consider the use of news letters by Green Peace sent to Iran. Perhaps this might help and they also could be sent to North Korea to break up bad guy image.

Iran will gain nothing by 'nuking' Israel and Iran never said to do so. I have attended many lectures of non Arab and non Muslim experts. All of them agreed with my statement above and they have presented valid arguments and documentations in this regard.

Iran does not have nuclear weapons nor does it have a nuclear weapons program. This has been stated officially by the IAEA and the CIA. Along with this, the CIA has also stated that iran had ceased all activity to pursue nuclear weapons and that it does not know whether iran will eventually decide to pursue weapons in the future. In addition, the ayatollah has declared several times that use of nuclear weapons is not acceptable in their religion. The president in iran wants the current israeli govt off the map, he is reportedly fine with the two state solution and a the state of israel. it is the govt that he wants to get rid of.

What may cause war in the middle east, is the current israeli government's continued activities in occupied palestinian territories.
