Yes.
Information is power.
Preferential treatment is power.
Jurisdiction is power.
Money is power.
The SEC, through DC & Fed, has all those and more
Powers, not in the absolute & proven best interest of a free People, will always be used to diminish the Liberties of that People.
That is the very reason for the 10th Amendment.

Yes because who makes the rules are the elected leaders. The leader take big donations from the financial sector. These elected leaders are in charge of the SEC and if not that, often make or can change the laws the SEC enforces. Seeing the politicains often need the campaign donations in order to get elected, they often change the laws to suit their donor's desires and needs.
Because of this, SEC is toothless.

Dr. Ron Paul incredibly is acquainted along with his stuff. He is acquainted with precisely what's taking place, what to do, and the thank you to do it. he's a guy of integrity. honest and honest. he's genuine and dealing for president. he's professional-liberty. Do the yankee subject, vote for Ron Paul. Edit: Honesty- that's what we thought earlier each little thing. even though it seems there are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and that they have got no longer something to do with 9/11. it's time to convey our troops back domicile, do no longer you think of so?

it was a complete abomination and disgrace under bush with his appointee chris cox (i think that's his name). the problem of SEC employees going to wall street still exists, but it can be fixed. People in the SEC who expose fraud should get a percentage of whatever money is recovered, that would give them the incentive not to look the other way.

They did not fail, they are criminally involved in the biggest theft in history. They got their cut in the action. Ask Paulson how much money he got as a "Signing Bonus" after he left the Treasury? I'm thinking at least $100,000,000.00. Why is he not in JAIL???????

Every problem in the US can be connected to some agency in the government. But just because an agency makes a mistake or ignores a problem, that doesn't mean it needs to be eliminated.
If it were up to Ron Paul we would all be living in the 40's on farms with an economy based on bartering. He is out of touch with modern society.

Equally that US prisons are a huge part of the crime problem.
That is, I agree that oppression, abuse, and corruption destroy sanctity in human beings.
