Is it just me or have the Bruins' fans gone lame-o and are copying Luongo's lu chant with tu for rask?
was watching the sabres vs. bruins game todya (wed 21) and i heard a chant of "boo"" when rask would save..but like luongo's "luos" it seemed as if the fans were saying ""tuu""
If so, you guys are sad. Nothing against the goalie he is awesome, but the fans are sad if they can't come up with something new and original..honestly..tsk tsk..that is such a loserish thing to do
haha but i swear this started recently cos i dont remember it from previous games
alright then.. im obviously pretty late with the whole hockey situation..and since ive really only gotten into this season..cut me some slack!! (thanks Hockey Eh?)

Your question is funny. Well you're only saying this because you feel as though its something new and have never heard it before, right? so then I don't think you're a complete idio't. No ones copying anyone. Its a hockey game. Everyone chants the same sh'it they been chanting forever. As for the new chants a team has caught onto, it all comes from other games but it doesn't make any of it original.

certain will. The Bruins followers don't realize that Burke has taken them two times on trades interior the previous 2 years. Kessel will proceed to outscore the three gamers that the Bruins were given for him. in the journey that that they had resigned Kessel in 2009 the Bruins might want to have beaten Philadelphia interior the 2010 playoffs and extremely probable have beaten Chicago for the Cup. So extremely than basically triumphing the 2011 Stanley Cup. they'd were repeat winners. yet followers are creatures of habit. they are going to proceed to attempt this chant see you later as Kessel continues to be interior the NHL. Toronto followers nonetheless boo Alfredsson for a stunt that occurred about 8 years in the past. followers under no circumstances ignore.

That's pretty crazy you ask that. Im a Bruins fan and my roomate in college is a Canucks fan. When the Bruins fans started the chant he said the same thing you just did. Personally i don't think they stole it because in every sport there is some city that chants Drew or something. Go Bruins though.

I always laugh when fans accuse other fans of copying that from them when in reality none of them originally came up with that. That call is over 80 years old. Yankees fans first started doing it for Lou Gehrig. You talk about how sad the Bruins fans are for not being original but the Canucks copied it too, and so has everyone who's done it since 1927.

I'm pretty sure they'd more likely have gotten the idea from "Yoooook" (Youkalis on the Red Sox). Consider the region, there, buddy. Besides, everyone in New England has a nickname. Everyone. And they all stem from the person's name. (Think Sully, Murph, Mac, Mick, Suze, etc.) It's only logical that they say "Tuuuuuk."
I didn't realize that Vancouver had the rights over nicknames. I didn't realize that fans cheering on their goalie was important enough to you to even deem as "loserish." Personally, I think you're ridiculous.

okay well no we arent copying. We do that for kevin youkalis of the boston red sox. at fenway when he goes to bat everyone goes "yoooukk" We have been doing that for years even before luongo's becomming good. it caught on with hockey because the red sox and bruins were doing so well one year together that it went from fenway to the garden. i live in boston but i am a pittsburgh fan and pittsburgh is a great fan city but so isn't boston. the garden is nevvvver lame. it's always so loud and a ton of fun. But to answer your question the boston fans aren't lame and we didn't steal luongo's cheer.

I'll take it back even before "YOUUUUUKKKK" as Sox fans used to chant "LOUUUUUU" whenever local utility man (and now media figure) Lou Merloni used to come to bat in the late 90's. There were probably players with "oo" in their names getting that chant even before that

This is a common thing in sports, take ex-Husker Ndamukong Suh, They'd all yell SUUUUUH which sounds like boo lol
