How can I print and produce a nice homemade tarot deck?

I mean, plastic hasn't always existed, so I would like to know how to print a deck ( any deck ) of my own, what material should I use and what process does the cards must pass before they get nice like commercial cards one gets on a shop, or maybe a method more rudimentary and more interesting. Oh and what deck you recommend I print, can you show me a link to a image file containing that deck? Tarot people, please help me!
