What is an unfranchise?

Update:

That was the word, unfranchise. I hadn't heard it before, and thought someone here might be able to explain.

I think you mean: Enfranchise which means to grant a franchise or endow with municipal or parliamentary rights.

Then there is affranchise which is to free from a state of dependence, servitude, or obligation.

A franchise: the right or license granted by a company to

an individual or group to market its products or

    services in a specific territory.

I have never heard of the term but i might have a good idea, a franchise is a business using a model to be successful, examples, independently owned subways and McDonald's and so on. you could be considered un-franchising if you sold you business back to cooperate for a profit.

    hope that helps.
