What is a "teabagger," and why are liberals obsessed with the word?

A teabagger is a member of the Tea Party.

The "tea" in the term "Tea Party" refers to the phrase "taxed enough already". It is a group of people, largely conservative in politics, but of all races who are part of a grass roots attempt to let the Government know they disagree with the policies that are being implemented.

Some of the national news programs have tried to put it out that a black man would be unsafe at a Tea Party rally. This is a horrible misuse of journalism. I know for a fact that people of all races have attend and been welcomed at events.

It is not about race. as some would have people believe, but rather about the concern that our government has taken an alarming turn towards Socialism.

It is ironic, that the protesters of the 1960's who pride themselves on having protested the government and "the establishment" then, now ARE the establishment and rabidly oppose any such protest from people who think differently from them.

Thus they use terms like "Teabagger" with contempt, and put it out that people who are part of this movement are racists and homophobes, in other words, the very worst stereotype of a white male.

A teabagger is when someone allows a man to sit over their face and drop his balls into their mouth. The term is quite fitting & appropriate if you ask me.

Because we ALL know teabaggers wouldn't resort to insults & crude remarks when dealing with people who have differences of opinion (and the whole Obama administration)!

People who disparage the tea party movement are fools, quite frankly. Because Gallup has shown us that tea partiers are a reflection of America, with less than half being Republicans and 6% being blacks, those who ridicule the movement are demonstrating a lack of skill in persuasion.

It's their defense for people calling them Libtards and such....
