What are some modern groups similar to the Carpenters?
I have a co-worker who is in her late 50's and will only listen to groups such as the Carpenters, and I told her via the power of the net I would bring her into this century of music, however she gave me the stipulation to keep it somewhat similar sounding. Any band suggestions for me!?!?

Hmm...that's a tough one. I'll give it a shot. How about Five For Fighting? He grew up with 70s music and it's strongly influenced his songwriting and style of music.
