My boyfriend told me that one of the things he loves about me is that I have an "old soul."
When I asked him to explain that he said he couldn't put it in words. Can anyone explain?

You are more mature, deep, and wise than other people of your same age/generation.

It could mean that you're wise beyond your age or that you may happen to like certain things that older generations are known more for liking. Ex: someone who loves music that was "before their time" could be said to have an "old soul".
