Why do un-believers of God always want to start a religious argument with their pointless questions?

I just don't get it. I'm not trying to offend anyone or cause an argument. I will flag anyone who replies rudely or immaturely.

But seriously, do athiest have like this undercover, secret desire to want to be a christian or something. I mean if you don't believe in God then why post questions saying things you know nothing about (b/c u suppposedly don't believe it) like "why do christians do this" or "where do christians think God came from" or just all these pointless questions that don't matter. Are you secretly trying to convert or something lol.... If you're asking us questions about our faith, you are obviously interested in it. If not, then why not leave it alone and save yourself the argumentative replies. Besides alot of the quesitons people post about religion are way off base and it makes you look ignorant or mis-led, un-educated on the subject

Update:

We are all entitled to our opinion, that's the beauty of our freedom. Science as well as a belief in God is always going to exist until one is PROVEN right or wrong and as much as people would like to say one or the other is wrong, it's merely an opinion, so quit trying to stomp on people's beliefs. If you don't like them, that's fine, you don't have to, but you should respect their opinion no matter what.

Update 2:

Umm Smirk.....look at some of the questions asked in that category before you tell me I don't get the point? I get the point....and it's pointless, just a means of argment and trying to tell someone their belief is wrong when in all reality, no one has the right to do that.

Update 3:

And stevie, you obviously missed the point....I didn't ask a question related to an athiest faith.....simply why they are so interested in mine if they don't believe it. nice try though

Update 4:

No dude, i'm not going to flag you for having an opinion.....if you started bashing someone elses opinion, then yes I'd flag.

Update 5:

Well I have seen very little "innocent" questions. I don't mind peoples intrest, what bothers me is when they bash someone's belief. That is what my entire post here is about. An exampleof a "pointless" question I'm talking about would be "why do christians believe in something that isn't real" Clearly that is a pointless question....asking why they believe in general would be a more "innocent" question, but the fact that they are putting down what christians believe is what gets me?

With that being said, I never mentioned what my faith is or isn't. I simply see these posts all over and was wondering why people can't be more mature about what they post.

    i agree.

but they might be trying to make all of us christians NOT believe in God, which for sure won't happen, because God is bigger than all of them & won't let it happen.

"why post questions saying things you know nothing about " The whole idea around asking questions is to gather knowledge in things that you may not have a full comprehension of. Asking why a group that believe the same thing act a certain way, although stereotyping, is a valid question e.g. Why do Christians go to church? It assumes that all Christians go to church which clearly they do not, but the question is still valid. Again, asking where God came from is a common and valid argument against the bible creation theory. If you state that the universe, being complex, must have been created by a complex entity, you have to then accept that, that entity must also have been created by an even more complex entity. If you are to apply logic to belief, you can't then just stop when you don't like the answer. I have more respect for Theists who simply say "We don't apply logic, we just have faith." than those that use half-hearted applications of science to try to prove something that cannot be proven.

Many people like myself, have an interest in Theist beliefs for many reasons. Although an Atheist, I'm keen to understand why people fail to see the evidence of their own eyes. I'm keen to understand why people will call me amoral and go on to say that you need a book for your morals when said book illustrates some of the most immoral behaviour in published history.

Whilst there is something to be learned from both sides of the theological fence, it is my observation that Atheists (with the exception of a few trolls) ask questions with an open mind whilst Theists ask questions with a closed mind. As an example of this, you have used the adjective "pointless". All questions have a point (even the trolls). You use the phrase "Start a religious argument" others would see it as healthy debate.

Many people don't like innocent questions because of the answers can prove embarrassing. Religion is a belief, it is based on faith, there are no facts or scientific proofs available and it does not need them because it is based on faith. Science is based on provable (albeit testable) facts and observations and does not require faith. Scientists would not use belief structures to prove what they do not understand and thus Theists should stay off the science turf in return.

So, the questions are "way off base" making the asker look ignorant, misled or uneducated? So answer the question and educate. Just don't try to use science to prove your beliefs or you too could appear ignorant, misled and uneducated.

And, no, I don't want to be a Theist if I have to accept "God did it." as an answer.

Be a atheist and function faith is God. Religions are merely bounds of stereotypes that creates bias and hate. P.S. God is barely a fraction of your mind's eye. no remember who reported it, who wrote it yet in basic terms have confidence in what's sensible to you. there is not a real God wherein is a being with a separated innovations that controls all it particularly is going on interior the universe. this is merely too infantile and the Bible is barely the grasp piece of a Con Artist. P.P.S. If God fairly exist in accordance to the Christians, i may well be ineffective a protracted time in the past. Peace.

The Children's Bible in a Nutshell

In the beginning, which occurred near the start, there was nothing but God,

darkness, and some gas. The Bible says, 'The Lord thy God is one, but I

think He must be a lot older than that.

Anyway, God said, 'Give me a light!' and someone did.

    Then God made the world.

He split the Adam and made Eve. Adam and Eve were naked, but they weren't

embarrassed because mirrors hadn't been invented yet.

Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating one badapple, so they were driven from

the Garden of Eden.....Not sure what they were driven in though, because

    they didn't have cars.

Adam and Eve had a son, Cain, who hated his brother as long as he was Abel.

Pretty soon all of the early people died off, except forMethuselah, who

lived to be like a million or something.

One of the next important people was Noah, who was a good guy, but one of

his kids was kind of a Ham. Noah built a large boat and put his family and

some animals on it. He asked some other people to join him, but they said

they would have to take a rain check.

After Noah came Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob was more famous than his

brother, Esau, because Esau sold Jacob his birthmark in exchange for some

pot roast. Jacob had a son named Joseph who wore a really loud sports coat.

Another important Bible guy is Moses, whose real name was Charlton Heston.

Moses led the Israel Lights out of Egypt and away from the evil Pharaoh

after God sent ten plagues on Pharaoh's people. These plagues included

frogs, mice, lice, bowels, and no cable.

God fed the Israel Lights every day with manicotti. Then he gave them His

Top Ten Commandments. These include: don't lie, cheat, smoke, dance, or

    covet your neighbor's stuff.

Oh, yeah, I just thought of one more: Humor thy father and thy mother.

One of Moses' best helpers was Joshua who was the first Bible guy to use

spies. Joshua fought the battle of Geritol and the fence fell over on the

    town.

After Joshua came David. He got to be king by killing a giant with a

slingshot.. He had a son named Solomon who had about 300 wives and 500

porcupines. My teacher says he was wise, but that doesn't sound very wise

    to me.

After Solomon there were a bunch of major league prophets. One of these was

Jonah, who was swallowed by a big whale and then barfed up on the shore.

There were also some minor league prophets, but I guess we don't have to

    worry about them.

After the Old Testament came the New Testament. Jesus is the star of The

New. He was born in Bethlehem in a barn. (I wish I had been born in a

barn too, because my mom is always saying to me, 'Close the door! Were you

born in a barn?' It would be nice to say, 'As a matter of fact, I was.')

During His life, Jesus had many arguments with sinners like the Pharisees

    and the Democrats.

    Jesus also had twelve opossums.

The worst one was Judas Asparagus. Judas was so evil that they named a

    terrible vegetable after him.

Jesus was a great man. He healed many leopards and even preached to some

    Germans on the Mount.

But the Democrats and all those guys put Jesus on trial before Pontius the

Pilot. Pilot didn't stick up for Jesus. He just washed his hands instead.

Anyways, Jesus died for our sins, then came back to life again. He went up

to Heaven but will be back at the end of the Aluminum. His return is

foretold in the book of Revolution.

We've wondered about those who "protest too much" as well. Those who are secure in their beliefs don't attack or accuse, they're just sure and perhaps take the time to listen to what others think and believe while still adhering to their own.

Many atheists (but certainly not all) are exChristians, and like many exes, they can't open their mouths without saying something nasty about their ex.

Often, however, Christians engage in behaviors that deserve being questioned, especially when Christians do things that seem wrong to the rest of us and no Christians seem to raise their voice in disagreement-which is weird, as there are so many Christians.

Lastly, not all who are religious follow YOUR god, and not all who find your religion silly are atheists.

Edit: "Science as well as a belief in God..." Are you talking about Creationists? The problem with Creationists is that they lie, and pass lies on, and they are NOT all religious people and NOT all Christians...they deserve to be questioned CONSTANTLY.

You're being challenged to examine and defend your beliefs. Simple as that. If you're secure in your faith, the questions shouldn't bother you.

I'm curious why you have chosen to ignore all of the completely pointless questions from theists.

    no.

pointless meaning that you don't like when people question and call out your christianity and the silly beliefs?

are you going to be mature and report me?

    1) Not everyone posting as an 'atheist' in here is an atheist.

    2) Don't feed the trolls.

    Source(s): Agnostic/Atheist - I don't know whether or not 'god(s)' exist, but I know I don't believe in any.

They want to convert believers into atheists...hence that's why they ask rhetorical questions.
