is this of conflict of interest?
I work for a cosmetic company, and i needed to hire a fragrance model, anyway the girl i work with wanted the job, its a temp position, but she works for a different cosmetic company, the fragrances she would be selling would not have our company's name on it, its more like our department store fragrances such as viva la juicy, mariah carey, fantasy by brittney spears etc. any ways i asked my account executive well more like told her i hired her,she was ok with it, but my friend thought that if her boss found out she would get in trouble a get fired for it,because we work for two separate cosmetic company's
heres how i figure it, she is doing the fragrance model job on her own time not on her cosmetic work time, she not selling any of my cosmetics, so it would not interfere with her selling cosmetics
im just trying to find a loop hole so she would not get in trouble, the paper work is already done, plus she needs the job
please be nice

not really a politics question but ok. Most likely it would be. It would be best if she told her employer or reviewed their policies to see if she could be fired for such conduct.
