On principle alone, can I dislike Twilight just because...?
Vampires don't f*cking sparkle?
There are cultures around the world who all have vampire stories. Sparkling vampires is almost insulting to the imagination, real or not.
I have been able to avoid this book series and was recently conned into watching one of the movies. I really hope I forget in a few days.

Sorry, but no. The sparkly vampires aren't reason enough. If you want to hate Twilight, you have to hate it for the dozens of distinct reasons everyone else does. The bad characters, the agonizing slow pace, all of it.

I agree. Why didn't the author create some new supernatural character, and leave the Vampire legend pure?
Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel was the last time Vampires were depicted with any real respect to the genre.

Absolutely. Despise that stupid movie for any and all reasons you can find. Personally, I hate Twilight because Edward acts like my ex did before he became psychotic and abusive. But the sparkly vampire thing is annoying, too! :P

IMO, the last cool fictional vampire was Spike, aka Bloody William, played by the talented James Marsters.
Real vampires are wimps. That's why they are vampires--they don't have enough energy of their own, so they try to act scary so they can suck up fear energy from others. Pathetic.

Believe it or not you have *** human rights *** which means, that despite what your friends may be telling you, you can like or dislike any movie for any reason at all.
How about that.
For example, I dislike ALL beautiful/handsome and heroic portrayls of vampires - as is my right. I like the traditional horrific portrayl of vampires - as is my right.

You can dislike anything you choose, and you don't even need to justify it.
I agree completely, real vampires are quite scary.

I personally, think Twilight is pretty homo.
No offense to any fans, but it's not for me.
& yes I see you have a good point with the "sparkling" thing.
