Can Halloween be spelled 'Holloween'?

Or would it be considered spelled wrong? Thanks.

    Well, not really.

It may SOUND like you can, but Halloween is really All Hallows Eve.

  • No. Just shove it in a spell checker, and its wrong.

    Or dictionary it.

But you know both, so its no biggie.

    Hi,

To your question - Yes, it can be spelled Holloween.

    Sadly, it would be incorrect.

    Source(s): Can't think of a Hollow answer.

    It would be spelled wrong.

The name comes from "All Hallow's Eve" --> "hallow e'en"
